Is shame an emotion you are familiar with? Is it limiting to unleash your true self? Are you able to recognize how it shows up in your body? 🫶
Shame is a universal emotion with a very strong embodied experience—it lives in the nervous system, influencing how we see ourselves and relate to others.
In this workshop, we will explore shame through the lens of the body, understanding how it shapes posture, movement, and sensation, and how these patterns can keep us stuck in cycles of disconnection and self-criticism.
We’ll use body-centered practices to gently shift shame’s grip. You’ll learn how to tune into your body’s wisdom, regulate your nervous system, and cultivate a sense of safety and worth. Through experiential exercises, mindful movement, and relational connection, this workshop offers a supportive space to move beyond shame and rediscover your authentic self.
Healing is possible when we reconnect with the body, and in doing so, we can reframe our relationship with shame, find freedom, and strengthen our capacity for joy and connection.
The evening will be hosted by Elena Bermejo Martins, Mental health researcher and advocate; Clinical psychotherapist in training.
