Identity Reconstruction & Migration

Migration does not only move people across borders – it reshapes identity. Like a dandelion carried by the wind, parts of who we are take root in new places, while others are tested, transformed, or left behind.

This interactive session explores the often unseen psychological work of migration: how identity is disrupted, renegotiated, and gradually rebuilt in a new cultural context.

The event combines a short presentation, practical insights on navigating identity change, followed by guided group reflection.

Participants will be invited to reflect on belonging, continuity, and adaptation – both personally and collectively- within a respectful and inclusive space.

No prior expertise is required; the workshop welcomes all with migration experiences, and anyone curious about how movement across borders shapes who we become.

The workshop will be facilitated by:
Clinical Gestalt Psychotherapist and Certified MBSR instructor Aglaia Michelaki. With a background also in Art History, she integrates her knowledge of the arts into her therapeutic work. A lifelong learner, currently enrolled in an M.Sc in Applied Positive Psychology.
