Join us for an evening of guided meditation, journaling and reflection on the unchanging strengths within all of us 🫶
The Danish landscape is not particularly known for its mountains. For many newcomers to Denmark, November can be a challenging month, especially for those who carry memories of mountains from their previous homes. The Mountain Meditation is one of the meditations in the MBSR (Mindfluness Based Stress Reduction) program, created by Jon Kabatt Zinn. In his words, the Mountain Meditation “evokes powerful images that may help you deepen your experience of embodied wakefulness and wellbeing, and the beauty of your own true nature, which is far more meaningful than any mountain”.
In preparation:
- Take the VIA character strengths test: https://www.viacharacter.org/account/register
- It would be greatly appreciated if you could bring a stone or pebble that is meaningful (or not so much) to you. You can take it back home at the end of the evening.
- A journal
- If you have a preferred meditation cushion, please bring that along as well. Chairs will be available.
The evening will be hosted by Aglaia Michelaki, Clinical Gestalt Psychotherapist and Certified MBSR instructor. A lifelong learner, currently enrolled in an M.Sc in Applied Positive Psychology.
