Exploring what helps us feel more alive when life feels difficult
What happens when life starts to feel heavy, stressful or disconnected?
Stress can leave us constantly “on”. Anxiety can make it difficult to relax or feel safe. Burnout can take away our energy and motivation. Depression and loneliness can leave us feeling disconnected – from ourselves, from others, and sometimes from life itself.
Re-connect is a therapeutic programme offering 3 days of group work combined with individual support, to explore together what can help us feel more present, connected and alive. It is not about fixing yourself, being positive, or having to share more than you want to.
It is an invitation to become curious about your experience and explore different ways of meeting yourself, others and everyday life.
What will we explore?
Through gentle experiential exercises, conversation, reflection, and embodied and creative practices, we will explore:
- Vulnerability & courage – allowing ourselves to be seen without always having to cope or hold everything together.
- Connection & loneliness – discovering what supports meaningful connection with ourselves and others.
- Choice & personal leadership – exploring where we have agency and how we can move from feeling stuck towards possibility.
- Control & uncertainty – finding different ways of meeting what we cannot control.
- Energy, motivation & aliveness – noticing what gives us energy and reconnecting with what makes us feel curious, engaged and alive.
The group will be based on the principles of Gestalt psychotherapy, a relational and experiential approach that emphasizes awareness, embodied experience and the quality of our contact with ourselves, others and the world around us.
An opportunity to contribute to research
This programme is part of a professional research project exploring how relational methods like Gestalt therapy may contribute to people’s lived experience of aliveness, and what happens when individual sessions are combined with group experiences.
The project is conducted as part of the final year of Elena’s psychotherapy training at the Gestalt Institute of Scandinavia. All individual and group work will take place under the supervision of a senior psychotherapist and in compliance with GDPR and the ethical standards required of members of the Danish Psychotherapy Association (DPFO).
Could this be for you?
You might recognize yourself if you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, lonely, unmotivated, stuck or disconnected – or simply curious about understanding yourself and your relationships differently.
You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal. You can simply bring your curiosity:
- A space to pause.
- A space to feel.
- A space to connect.
- A space to explore choice and possibility.
- A space to discover what helps you feel more alive.
What does participation involve?
Short screening conversation: before joining, we’ll meet one-to-one to explain the project, answer your questions and see whether the programme feels right for you.
