Leaf fall – Art & Mental Health Workshop 🍃🍁🍂

Autumn is here 🌞

– a season we are experiencing together, filled with simple, quiet moments of beauty like a yellow leaf gently falling from a tree or the soft rustle of dry leaves under our feet.

As expatriates, we come from diverse parts of the world, each with its unique climate.
Some of us may find similarities between Denmark and our homeland, while others may be accustomed to stable weather year-round, where daily life is less dependent on the seasons.

Autumn is the gradual transition from summer to winter, as light gives way to darkness and days grow shorter. It’s a time to pause and reflect on how we feel during this shift: How did we experience the summer? What do we anticipate the winter will bring?

In this Art & Mental Health workshop, our primary material will be nature’s gifts – fallen leaves. 🍁🍃
The intricate process of leaf carving encourages mindfulness, helping us focus on the present moment, reducing stress, and promoting calm. Together, we will gently explore our feelings while working with the delicate, natural beauty of autumn leaves.

The workshop will be guided by:

  • Agnija Rubene, a visual storyteller and architect with a deep passion for art, nature, and mental health.
  • M.Sc. Psychology degree student Natalie Koudelova

Important Notes:

  • No prior experience is necessary; the activity can be adjusted for all skill levels.
  • If the weather is dry, we will begin with a short walk outside to collect leaves.
  • Feel free to bring freshly gathered leaves with you, but it’s not required – we will provide a variety at the venue.

Meeting Point:

  • In front of Café Blom at 17:00.

We look forward to spending this evening with you. 🍁🙏

Autumn has a special beauty – all its own. Let’s honor the season and the colors it brings into our lives!
